If I could describe the past few years in one word, I would say it was an evolution. Just like a Pokemon. I enjoy building beautiful products that connect people with one another. User Experience Design Intern at Google

June 2014 - Present

I spent my summer at Google on the Social team. My projects consisted redesigning and reimagining old products, creating the onboarding experience for a new Google product, and creating a brand new feature on Google+. My work is launching soon, stay tuned!

Co-Founder / Chief Design Officer at Clustur

2013 - Present

Clustur is a startup created by college students for college students. Our goal is to make event discovery on college campuses as easy as possible. As the lead designer I was able to design this app from the ground up and was in charge of every design decision. My role included interaction design, user research, designing simple user flows, creating mockups and wireframes, visual design, product feature brainstorming, and even the branding and identity of the company.

Product Design Intern at Yabbly

February 2014 - May 2014

Yabbly's mission is to enhance how people share knowledge through conversations on our "ask me anything" social interviewing platform. Our company is backed by the former general counsel of Facebook, former CEO of Immunex, CPO of Acxiom, and current Google and Amazon execs. We've been featured in Fast Company, Mashable, NPR, Wall Street Journal, and were a finalist in the 2013 SxSW Startup Accelerator competition (top 18 of 550 startups competing, top 3 in the social category). Some products I worked on include Interview, Profile, and Communities. I also contributed to future, unreleased products by Yabbly.

User Experience Design Intern at Microsoft

2013 - 2013

During the summer of 2013, I worked at Microsoft on the design team for Microsoft Office for Mac and iPhone. It was the first time I worked on a product that was used by billions of people. I really enjoyed this experience because I was able to really work closely on a team of designers, developers, and PMs. I had the opportunity to design and ship icons, layouts, and different iterations of future Microsoft Office renditions. I also recreated mockups, redesigned a website to have a better user experience, and designed different UI elements for Microsoft Office OneNote, Powerpoint, Word and Excel.

Director of Marketing and Design at Sacks of Love

April 2012

Sacks of Love is a Washington-based non-profit organization that aims to spread awareness for male health issues, specifically, testicular cancer. As a member on the Board of Directors I was able to revitalize the brand through careful and strategic design decisions through posters, a website, social media, and apparel. This led me to communicate effectively in a cross functional product development team and successfully promote and carry out design thinking throughout the brand.
